Greenfields

Since November 2006, John & Penny (PTY), our holding company has been the contractor responsible for the maintenance of all the town parks, public gardens, 8 sport fields (Soccer, Rugby, Hockey, Cricket and Bowling), a Golf Course and tree belts in Oranjemund for Namdeb until 2017. It is during that time when the main contract ended, that Shitaka T.S was contracted to maintain the town sport fields from 2018 to date (2023). The current project employ eight (8) staff members collectively with necessary equipment and vehicles to execute the services.

Shitaka T.S is also currently maintaining the Gardens at Ekamuti Town Lodge in Ondangwa, Gardens at Shikamasha Game Lodge near Etosha and AirB&B at Langstrand in Walvisbay. The company us also established several parks and gardens countrywide such as Rundu, Oshakati and Okahao Town Councils.

The Oranjemund Greenfield project had sophisticated equipment that positions us to be arguably one of biggest private landscaping contractor in the country. The project was managed by qualified Namibian Green keepers and 47 Namibian permanent workers were employed. In addition to town greenery, there has been an increasing trend to get smaller job orders from residents and private business in Oranjemund.

Civil & Structural Engineering

Shitaka Technical Service provides experts services in Civil and Structural Engineering to both Private and Public

Sectors. This division is well equipped with plant & equipment and all other resources needed to ensure success in all project execution and quality service delivery in the construction sector. In addition, the company further commits the same strategy to the development of a strong leadership and highly skilled and specialised teams in complex engineering and construction services.

Shitaka Technical Services specialises in the execution and project management of turnkey projects.

Demolition, Scrap & Asbestos

Shitaka Technical Service (Pty) Ltd has been sorting waste and scrap and demolishing buildings since 2008 in a JV with SA Metals Namibia (Pty) Ltd.

This division of Shitaka is normally found in mines and personnel are trained with demolishing various structures and buildings such as old diamond processing plants and associated building infrastructures

Shitaka is trained in Asbestos handling with the necessary certificates. Some of our personnel have over 15 years of experience in waste, scrap and demolition. Shitaka handles, soft refuse, asbestos, rubber, ferrous, non-ferrous, batteries, inflorescence, scrapping of vehicles and oil contaminated soils.

Specialised wind technology knowledge which allows us to give you options such as gear-less wind turbines or design a specialised wind power system which can utilise your specific resources to design the blades.

Supply and delivery:

Of hubs, generators, gearbox or even towers.

Maintenance & Repair Service:

From broken or damaged wind turbine blade or blades to stalling, we have a round-the-clock service call system provides uninterrupted coverage to your institutional, commercial or industrial facility during non-business hours.

Power Lines

Power Lines Installation:

Specialised structures such as single or double circuit transmission for overhead power line and adequate conductors to make sure that it can sustain the current that it is being transmitted.

Supply and delivery:

Of obstacle or visibility marker balls, insulators and conductors.
